OCTA continues to offer convenient, affordable rides to the OC Fair through Aug. 17
ORANGE – The OC Fair Express is off to a great start this season, topping last year’s ridership with more than 13,000 boardings so far, and there’s still time to catch the affordable and stress-free ride, while avoiding traffic and parking costs.
OCTA continues to invite the public to take advantage of the OC Fair Express on Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 17 for just $4 round trip.
In its third week, the service carried 5,227 riders – a 13% increase from the previous weekend. In total, 13,688 boardings have been recorded to date this season, saving fairgoers time, money and reducing traffic congestion.
The OC Fair Express operates from five locations throughout Orange County directly to the OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, from approximately 10 a.m. to midnight every Saturday and Sunday during the fair. Schedules vary by location, so riders are encouraged to plan ahead at OCFairExpress.com.
Round-trip fare remains just $4 while youth 18 and under, along with Community College Pass holders, can ride for free with no special pass required. OC Fair admission tickets must be purchased online in advance – tickets are not available at the venue. Passengers can pay using the OC Bus mobile ticketing app or with exact change on board.
Riders can board the OC Fair Express approximately every 30 minutes from these five locations:
- Anaheim – Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), 2626 E. Katella Ave.
- Fullerton – Fullerton Park-and-Ride, 3000 W. Orangethorpe Ave.
- Huntington Beach – Goldenwest Transportation Center, 7301 Center Ave.
- Laguna Hills – Laguna Hills Transportation Center, 24282 Calle de los Caballeros
- Santa Ana – Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center, 1000 E. Santa Ana Blvd.

Each trip drops off and picks up passengers from the OC Fair’s yellow gate entrance on the east side of the fairgrounds. Riders are provided with a comfortable, air-conditioned ride with free Wi-Fi and charging outlets on most buses. With the OC Fair’s theme of “Find Your Happy,” the OC Fair Express makes the trip just as enjoyable as the destination.
OC Fair Express has served Orange County riders since 2011, taking time off during the pandemic before returning in 2024, giving thousands of fairgoers a clean, reliable, and fun ride to the OC Fair. The service is part of OCTA’s efforts to reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable transportation options across the region
