To ensure the safety and reliability of the Metrolink system, infrastructure enhancements are occasionally necessary that result in the closure of the rail line. OCTA continues to work with Metrolink to minimize the impact of these closures and apologize for the inconvenience.

February 21-22, 2026
Orange County & Inland Empire-Orange County Lines
Service Suspension

On Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22, 2026, Orange County Line and Inland Empire-Orange County Line service will be interrupted due to maintenance and rehabilitation projects. On both days, Metrolink trains will not operate between the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside stations.

Riders may use OC Bus Route 91 as an alternative between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and San Clemente. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner rail service will operate as far south San Juan Capistrano with bus shuttles available for ticketed Amtrak passengers. March 7-8, 2026
Orange County & inland Empire-Orange County Lines
Service Suspension
