University Pass
Crowded parking lots. Expensive parking passes. You need wheels to get around, but parking on campus can be such a drag. That’s why OC Bus has partnered with local universities to provide students with an affordable and convenient transportation option called the UPass.
Eat, Play, Work, Study. Do it with the UPass.
UPass allows students at Chapman, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine to ride OC Bus all day, every day for a fraction of the cost compared to the regular fare. See below for specific school programs and information on how to enroll.
How to Get Your Pass
Review your school’s instructions. Check your school’s website for information and details relating to the OCTA University Pass.
Download the Wave by OCTA mobile app
Get the Wave app from the App Store or Google Play.
Create an account
Create your account using the same email you used to register for your classes, then create your free virtual card.
Link your school
One week before the semester begins, you’ll need to link your school.
- Select “Card Options” then “Institutions”.
- Find your school from the list and select “Link Institution”.
- Return to “Card Options” then select “Passes” to add your pass. Your pass will be displayed.
- Select “Order Now” to add your pass to your card.

When you board the OC Bus, display the QR code to scan before riding.
