About the LOSSAN Agency
The Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency (Agency) is a joint powers authority composed of rail owners, operators, and planning agencies along the LOSSAN Rail Corridor. Since July 2015, the LOSSAN Agency has managed the Pacific Surfliner intercity passenger rail authority service under an interagency transfer agreement with the State of California.
The LOSSAN Agency is governed by a Board of Directors composed of 11 voting members from nine member agencies representing rail owners, operators, and planning agencies along the entire rail corridor. The Orange County Transportation Authority serves as Managing Agency of the LOSSAN Agency.
About Amtrak Pacific Surfliner
The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner travels along the 351-mile LOSSAN Corridor, connecting San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Luis Obispo. It’s the busiest state-supported Amtrak route and the second busiest intercity rail corridor in the U.S., serving 2 million riders annually.
