The Orange County Transportation Authority (Authority) invites proposals from qualified consultants to provide staff assistance and technical expertise to manage the construction phase of the PROJECT and to administer the construction contracts.

OVERVIEW Metrolink, in coordination with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), is proposing to extend 1.2 miles of railroad track in Dana Point. The siding track would be constructed adjacent to the existing main track from near Victoria Boulevard running south and connecting to the main track near the rail crossing at Beach Road.

When: There will be a full freeway closure on the eastbound and westbound SR-22 freeway between I-5 and Harbor Boulevard. All on- and off-ramps between these locations will also be closed.

OVERVIEW The I-605/Katella Avenue interchange connects the San Gabriel River Freeway, a major north-south transportation route in Orange and Los Angeles counties, with Katella Avenue, an east-west regional corridor that crosses the two counties.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (Authority) invites proposals from qualified consultants to provide on-call materials testing and inspection services for OCTA Facilities projects.

Vehicles The first four of the eight S-700 Streetcar vehicles are near completion in that the cars have been assembled, trucks assemblies installed, interior equipping of the seats, flooring, doors and electrical systems. The four vehicles are currently undergoing static and dynamic testing to verify component and system functionality.

Construction Activities Contractors are continuing to construct the bridge foundation for the new railroad bridge. This requires concrete pours to continue weekly through August. Approximately 40 concrete trucks will be accessing the creek from Camino Capistrano and exiting at Stonehill Drive. No lane closures are anticipated during this activity.

The I-605/Katella Avenue Interchange Project will modify the interchange’s ramps and make improvements along Katella Avenue between Coyote Creek Channel and Civic Center Drive in Los Alamitos. The project is funded by Measure M, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements, also known as OC Go.
