The OC Bus service change that will take effect on June 13 will restore bus service back to about 74 percent of what it was prior to the pandemic. OCTA implements schedule and route revisions to selected OC Bus routes three times a year, in February, June and October.

In addition to the extension of OC Bus Rapid Route 553, improvements include schedule adjustments to better serve summer beach traffic and minor schedule changes to reduce wait times.

To improve service quality and reliability, changes include the extension of Route 553 from ARTIC to Disneyland Resort along Katella Ave. and Harbor Blvd., schedule adjustments to better serve summer beach trafic and minor schedule changes to reduce wait times.

46 Long Beach to Orange via Ball Rd/Taft Ave Weekdays: Adjust frequency of service to every 40 minutes during peak and midday service hours

Extended to Niguel & Crown Valley to replace a segment of Route 87. Reduced from approximately every 45 minutes to every 60 minutes. Increased frequency from approximately every 84 minutes to every 60 minutes. Note: Route 90 will also use the two new stops due to the changes at IVC.

Adjust frequency of service to every 15 minutes on the short line trips and to every 30 minutes on the long line trips during the midday service hours. To make it easier for customers to understand the schedule and the direction the bus is traveling, as well as improve operational efficiencies.
