The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) appointed Perez as a member to the LOSSAN Board of Directors in December 2022. Dutra previously served as a Member of the Whittier Planning Commission for six years from 2006 to 2012 and has served as Chairman of the Commission.

Organizational Overview OCTA is a multi‐modal transportation agency formed through consolidation in 1991, of the former operating agency (the Orange County Transit District) and several other transportation‐related agencies.

In its role as the county transportation commission, OCTA serves as the transportation planning agency responsible for planning, developing and funding Orange County’s transportation programs and services. Recently, OCTA CEO Darrell E. Johnson participated in several regional events.

In early October, OCTA CEO Darrell Johnson provided updates about the organization’s activities at several events.

Some of the initiatives included “Ride a Bike with the Mayor”, The Mayor’s “Healthy Minute” on the Burbank Channel and the “Let’s Move!” campaign in conjunction with First Lady Michelle Obama.
