Through various calls for projects, the OCTA makes state, federal and local funding available to the 34 incorporated cities and the County of Orange. Depending on eligibility, local agencies and organizations are also welcomed to apply, but must go through one of the 34 incorporated cities or county.

ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority has saved $509 million through a series of innovative financing strategies for the I-405 Improvement Project, which is scheduled to be completed this year.

In October 2007, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Board of Directors established and approved the selection of 14 members for the Environmental Cleanup Allocation Committee.

Buena Park train station built in 2007 is located near Dale Street and Lakeknoll Drive. The station has a 70-foot clock tower modeled after the one at Knott’s Berry Farm – which was inspired by the original at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Orange County's City Selection Committee selected Klopfenstein as a city council representative to the OCTA Board of Directors in November 2023. Klopfenstein brings a deep connection to her community with a diverse background that includes international experience in radio broadcasting and a degree in marketing from Concordia University.

OC Go, also known as Measure M, is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements. These Local Fair Share funds are distributed every other month to cities and the county to preserve existing streets and to provide other transportation improvements based on the priorities and infrastructure needs of local agencies.

Since 1991 OCTA has kept residents and commuters moving throughout Orange County by bus, freeway, rail, bike, walking, and rideshare programs. Our projects and programs improve safety and efficiency on our local roads, provide bus service and regional multimodal connections, help people find ways to leave their cars home, and provide safe, convenient transportation to those with special needs.
