    Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP)

The Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) is a capital listing of all transportation projects proposed over a six-year period. Projects include highway improvements, transit, rail and bus facilities, high occupancy vehicle lanes, signal synchronization, intersection improvements, freeway ramps, etc. The OCTA FTIP database (OCFundtracker) includes all projects that are deemed regionally significant, regardless of the funding source and allows local agencies access to view and amend their projects.

The 2023 FTIP cycle will begin this fall. Please review the videos below for an overview of the 2023 FTIP, tutorial of the FTIP component of the OCFundtracker system, and tutorial of the carry-over process required for the 2023 FTIP. If your agency has questions regarding specific projects or needs further instruction after watching the videos below, 2023 FTIP meetings are available the week of September 13th-17th. Each agency should only sign up for one meeting. All meetings will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please sign up for a meeting in the Doodle poll here: https://doodle.com/poll/683x7dbey9p8w3rb?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link

Important upcoming dates for the 2023 FTIP cycle:

    • September 13-17th: Optional meetings to address specific questions regarding the 2023 FTIP projects or process
    • October 1st: Local agencies must have all their FTIP projects either carried over, completed, or deleted into the 2023 FTIP in the OCFundtracker database
