Expected growth demands in Orange County over the next 30 years will require agencies to continue to invest in transportation infrastructure projects. A collaborative effort between County leaders and OCTA identified additional projects to fund through an extension of the Measure M program. Voters approved Renewed Measure M on November 7, 2006. Ordinance No. 3 outlines all programs.

I. Overview On November 6, 1990, Orange County voters approved Measure M, a 20-year half-cent local transportation sales tax. All major transportation improvement projects and programs included in the original Measure M have been completed or are currently underway.

Survey quotas were targeted by specific bus stops so that the survey team could conduct intercept surveys with random respondents while waiting at these specific bus stops.

Efective August 13, 2023 The Bus Service Change Improvements provides a summary of the upcoming service improvements to OC Bus.

Shuttle routes may be point-to- point and seasonal in nature such as OCTA’s Orange County Fair Express network or confined to a single community perhaps using a short distance circular route structure. Circulator Shuttle routes (numbered 800 to 899) typically provide short-distance connections to local business on a frequent timed headway.

Bus Service Change Improvements – Efective May 11, 2025 The Bus Service Change Improvements provide a summary of adjustments to OC Bus. To improve service quality and reliability, changes include the extension of Route 553 from ARTIC to Disneyland Resort along Katella Ave. and Harbor Blvd., schedule adjustments to better serve summer beach trafic and minor schedule changes to reduce wait times.
