To address current and future traffic demand, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in partnership with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is improving I-5 from north of Interstate 405 (I-405) to State Route 55 (SR-55). OCTA and Caltrans are working with the neighboring cities of Irvine and Tustin.

OCTA awarded 2025 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award For the Fifteenth year in a row OCTA has been awarded the National Procurement Institute's "Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award". This prestigious award is earned by those organizations that demonstrate excellence in public procurement.

CONSULTANT shall provide qualified personnel to perform the function of construction inspection (including roadway and structures), CPM scheduler, claims support, Office Engineer, materials testing, plant inspection, surveying, and electrical inspection.

They include Laguna Beach Transit, Riverside Transit Agency, Norwalk Transit System, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Long Beach Public Transportation Company, and the North County Transit District in San Clemente, various specialized charter bus services, and commuter rail services.
