Motorists now can travel safely and smoothly under the railroad tracks without having to wait for passing trains. Retaining walls, landscaping, and relocation of the Walnut Bike Trail also were project features. The Walnut Bike Trail reopened on May 29, 2015 with full access from Jeffrey Road to Sand Canyon Avenue. Construction began in mid-2011.
