Johnson has devoted his career to improving public transportation, spending 12 years at Amtrak prior to joining OCTA. During his time at Amtrak, Johnson held positions on operations and planning and contributed to the development of passenger rail service in California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.

The wall construction schedule is still being determined but is anticipated to occur mostly behind those barriers to help limit further disruption to passenger rail service.

Starting Monday, April 28, passenger rail service through San Clemente will be suspended for about six weeks to allow crews to safely stabilize the most at-risk sections of track.
