The OCTA Youth Ride Free Program provides youth ages 6 to 18 with free travel on OC Bus fixed-route service to school, work or fun on safe, clean and reliable buses.

The Youth Ride Free program provides free year-round travel on OC Bus to youth 6 to 18. To ensure the greatest number of youth benefit from free access to public transportation for school, work and leisure, OCTA partners with K 12 schools and parents to deliver the Youth Ride Free program.

Bus travel is one of the safest ways to get around Orange County, and our Youth Ride Free Program allows youth 6-18 to ride OC Bus for free. They can use the bus to get to the beach, skate park, an amusement center, summer job, library, or even school.

The OC Bus Youth Ride Free pass allows youth ages 6 to 18 to ride all OC Bus fixed-route buses every day for free. The pass requires parental approval and is distributed through K-12 schools in partnership with OCTA.

A new pass is required along with a new parental request form. Using the new pass, Orange County youth ages 6 to 18 can ride OC Bus for free for travel to school, work or fun all year long.
