OCTA’s Coastal Rail Resiliency Study aims to evaluate and implement short- and medium-term strategies to protect the railway in the vulnerable 7-mile stretch between Dana Point and the San Diego County Line and to keep rail traffic moving through the area for up to the next 30 years, while longer-term solutions are explored.

More than 80 percent of students at Santiago Canyon College who voted on whether to bring the college pass to their campus voted in favor. This effort is part of OCTA’s OC Bus 360° initiative, which is enhancing bus service in Orange County by maximizing existing resources and tailoring transit solutions to meet market demands.
The funding is available through OCTA’s environmental cleanup program for projects that reduce the impacts of transportation-related water pollution by removing liter and debris before it reaches the ocean and other waterways. Cities and the county can propose projects through the program, which is funded by Measure M, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
The Coastal Rail Resiliency Study (CRRS) will evaluate strategies to protect the railroad in place for up to 30 years and ensure uninterrupted rail operations while minimizing passenger and freight service disruptions. It will include a detailed analysis of seven miles of critical coastal rail corridor between Dana Point and San Clemente at the San Diego County line (map of study area on reverse).
Bus Service Change Improvements – Efective May 11, 2025 The Bus Service Change Improvements provide a summary of adjustments to OC Bus. To improve service quality and reliability, changes include the extension of Route 553 from ARTIC to Disneyland Resort along Katella Ave. and Harbor Blvd., schedule adjustments to better serve summer beach trafic and minor schedule changes to reduce wait times.
I. Overview On November 6, 1990, Orange County voters approved Measure M, a 20-year half-cent local transportation sales tax. All major transportation improvement projects and programs included in the original Measure M have been completed or are currently underway.
