This accelerated timetable resulted in efficiencies, allowing another project to be added, the widening of the Garden Grove Freeway (State Route 22). Beginning July 11, Orange County’s favorite transport to the OC Fair will return for Friday, Saturday and Sunday journeys through Aug.10. The popular OC Fair Express provides direct service to and from the fair from eight convenient locations for only $2 each way or a swipe of a valid bus pass. Last year, more than 58,000 people jumped aboard.

On weekdays, the plan proposes eliminating eight routes, maintaining Night Owl service until 1 a.m., reducing frequency on 11 routes, restructuring eight routes and reducing trips on one route. Committee members expressed displeasure in being forced into making these difficult cuts because of the current financial situation.
