The completion of a new carpool lane and improvements to the Avenida Pico Interchange, the I-5 South County Improvements Project is complete. Project Overview This 5.7 mile project, a partnership between OCTA and Caltrans, extended the carpool lane in each direction of I-5 from between its prior terminus in San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.
