On May 23, 2022, the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors approved an agreement with INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc. to develop, install, and implement the OC Streetcar ticket vending machine system. On February 24, 2025, the Board of Directors approved updates to the OC Streetcar project schedule and capital systems.

Effective: June 16, 2024 This document provides information on general policies regarding employment practices, employee benefits, compensation, and salary structure for administrative employees at the Orange County Transportation Authority and was approved by the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors on June 24, 2024.

The approved budget makes significant investments in public transit – totaling approximately half of the overall budget – and makes improvements to Orange County’s freeways and streets to keep the county moving safely and efficiently.

Through August 13, the OC Fair Express is the best weekend ride to the OC Fair. Buses depart from nine convenient locations on Saturdays and Sundays and provide rides from approximately 10 a.m. to midnight. A ride on the OC Fair Express costs $2 each way, or 75 cents for seniors age 60 and up and people with disabilities.

The Orange County Transportation Authority reserves the right to make final determination of eligibility for Senior Reduced Fare Identification Cards. The applications are for internal use only and will not be subject to public review.

Now celebrating its golden anniversary, the Orange International Street Fair will return this year from Friday, September 2 to Sunday, September 4. The popular event spans several streets near Plaza Park in the City of Orange historic downtown district and attracts fans from all over southern California.

OCTA offers college students specially discounted passes to help them keep more money in their wallets while traveling to class or exploring OC using fixed-route buses. An OCTA College Fare ID is required when boarding the bus using any OCTA College Pass (C-Pass). Applying for the free ID is a snap.
