The City of San Juan Capistrano (City) recorded a restrictive covenant over the project area (2013) which protects the site in perpetuity. The City contacted OCTA about potential access to an adjacent parcel that could impact the restored area. This was discussed during the Aug 3rd EOC.

Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station The Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo station was opened in 2002. The station is one-half mile from the San Diego Freeway (I-5), located near major employment centers and attractions in south Orange County, such as the Shops at Mission Viejo, Saddleback College and Mission Hospital. The station serves more than 500 Amtrak and Metrolink passengers daily.
