ORANGE – Crews are finishing the initial emergency work to reinforce the most vulnerable areas along the rail line in San Clemente this week, which will enable passenger rail service to safely resume through South Orange County on the morning of Saturday, June 7.
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in coordination with Metrolink, is taking emergency action to advance emergency projects in San Clemente that will immediately protect a critical link in the state’s rail network.
As part of our efforts to modernize public transportation for greater flexibility and convenience, OCTA is proposing a new fare payment system. We want to ensure that every rider, from first-time users to frequent commuters, has a way to pay to ride that works best for them. OCTA is continuing to gather input on the proposed Wave fare payment system until the public hearing on March 24.
