Formed in 1991, Metrolink is operated by the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), a joint powers authority consisting of five member agencies representing the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura.

Last year, 5.1 million passengers rode Metrolink in OC. The average weekday ridership was over 18,000. Over 400,000 rode on weekends. This is our target audience. OC Schedules Join fellow fans on the two convenient Metrolink train lines that travel through Orange County. Both the Orange County (OC) and the 91/Perris Valley (91/PV) lines ofer free connections to the Metro Red or Purple lines at L.A. Union Station.

Closing these gaps likely will require 1 or 2 additional Metrolink round trips on the Ventura County Line, which may not be a short-term solution given funding and equipment limitations.

On holidays when Metrolink operates the same schedule it operates on Sundays, there is no service on the Ventura County and Riverside lines, or the four stops on the 91/Perris Valley Line extension. Additionally, regular weekday fares will be required.
