Measure M2 (M2) is a 30-year (2011-2041), half-cent sales tax initiative approved by Orange County voters in 2006. Established through Ordinance No. 3 (Ordinance), M2 includes a Transportation Investment Plan (Plan) of improvements across the county, including freeway enhancements, street improvements, public transit investments, and environmental initiatives.
Measure M is a 30-year one half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements in Orange County from 2011 through 2041. After experiencing the success and progress of the original Measure M, nearly 70 percent of voters renewed the half-cent sales tax in 2006.
