All nine community colleges in Orange County are now on board the College Pass Program. The College Pass, a shared-cost program that allows enrolled community-college students to travel free on any OC Bus fixed route, helps students access higher education, employment and recreational opportunities across Orange County.

The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passes through Orange County as part of its 351-mile coastal rail route from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. The LOSSAN Agency is managed by OCTA in an agreement with the state.

OC Streetcar project designer selected The Orange County Transportation Authority board of directors selected HNTB Corporation to design the OC Streetcar project, signaling the next major step in developing the county’s first modern streetcar.

The project creates a 4-mile biking and walking trail connection between Garden Grove and Santa Ana as well as to the Santa Ana River Trail and the countywide 66-mile OC Loop bikeway. This project would improve the transportation network along the corridor and provide a well connected active transportation route.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is pleased to submit the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) for the 2022 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). OCTA is proposing to utilize $164.647 million in STIP funds to support seven high-priority projects in Orange County during the five-year 2022 STIP period, from fiscal years 2022-23 through 2026-27.
