While passenger train service has been halted through San Clemente while crews work to protect the track and safely restore service, all other Metrolink train lines remain operating as normal and the work won’t impact trains between Irvine and Los Angeles.

The City of San Juan Capistrano recently provided corrections and updated information regarding the existing and proposed bikeways within the CBSP. These changes were necessary to bring the CBSP in line with the City’s General Plan.

A commuter/intercity rail line, it connects Orange County to downtown Los Angeles. Within Orange County, it runs from Buena Park in the north to San Clemente in the south via major destinations including downtown Fullerton, Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle, downtown Santa Ana, Irvine, and Laguna Niguel.

To be allowed to bid on the OC Streetcar Construction Contract, bidders must be pre-qualified. The last day to submit pre-qualification packages is December 19, 2017.

Along with the county, the cities receiving project funds are Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Irvine, Mission Viejo, Orange, San Clemente and Santa Ana.
