Orange County freeways will receive forty-three percent (43%) of Net Revenues. Relieving congestion on State Route 91 is the centerpiece of the freeway program. Other major projects include improving Interstate 5 (I- 5) in south Orange County, Interstate 40 5 (I-405) in west Orange County and State Route 57 in North Orange County.

OCTA funding and administration contributed to the restoration of one of Orange County’s critical natural corridors. Tour Highlights OCTA Wilderness Restoration Projects The tour highlighted the resilience of Bee Flat Canyon and West Loma, two fire-damaged projects which recovered thanks to earlier restoration efforts.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in coordination with Metrolink, is replacing the railroad bridge over San Juan Creek in the City of San Juan Capistrano to enhance safety and reduce maintenance needs. Once the new bridge is completed and train service is switched over, the existing bridge will be demolished.
