• OCTA owns the Los Angeles- San Diego- San Luis Obispo rail right-of-way from Fullerton to San Clemente. • Successful completion of Measure M, the package of $4 billion in transportation improvements promised to Orange County voters in 1990 when they approved a 20-year half-cent sales tax program.
This 5.7 mile project, a partnership between OCTA and Caltrans, extended the carpool lane in each direction of I-5 from between its prior terminus in San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente. The project also reconstructed the Avenida Pico interchange, adding dual left-turn lanes to both on-ramps and widening the northbound on-ramp to three lanes.
On October 21, 2024, Metrolink implemented a service change that affects connections to OC Bus Routes 26, 453, 472, 473 and 480.. To help passengers make their connections, OC Bus is providing additional service on these routes that will be in place until the OC Bus November 10, 2024, service change. At that time, bus and Metrolink service will be synchronized.
