San Clemente Track Closure Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passenger rail service will safely resume through South Orange County on Saturday, June 7. The restoration of service will follow the completion of construction of the initial phase of emergency efforts to reinforce the most vulnerable areas along the rail line in San Clemente.
Project Overview OCTA, in coordination with Metrolink, upgraded six Metrolink stations in Orange County. Improvements included removal and replacement of aging yellow detectable warning tiles and other directional tiles, as well as restriping of stations platforms. These six stations include: Buena Park Fullerton Orange Santa Ana Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo San Clemente
Buena Park train station built in 2007 is located near Dale Street and Lakeknoll Drive. The station has a 70-foot clock tower modeled after the one at Knott’s Berry Farm – which was inspired by the original at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
