Resilience of At-Risk Infrastructure – projects that improve the resilience of infrastructure at risk from extreme weather events, natural disasters, or changing conditions, such as coastal erosion, to improve transportation and public safety and reduce costs by avoiding future maintenance or rebuilding costs.

The M2 Ordinance No. 3 (M2 Ordinance), included as Appendix A, outlines the eligibility requirements that local jurisdictions must satisfy to receive M2 Net Revenues. The M2 Eligibility Guidelines (Eligibility Guidelines) provide the resources local jurisdictions need to remain eligible to participate in M2 funding programs. Guidelines for newly incorporated cities are outlined in Appendix B.

Planning studies are currently underway to identify and evaluate immediate as well as short- and medium-term solutions with a goal of protecting the rail line in place in south Orange County. A separate study will follow to assess potential long-term solutions, which may include relocation of the rail line.

Buena Park train station built in 2007 is located near Dale Street and Lakeknoll Drive. The station has a 70-foot clock tower modeled after the one at Knott’s Berry Farm – which was inspired by the original at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
