Concrete pours need to start in the night/early morning as the steel rails expand with rising temperatures. Pouring concrete around the rail while the temperatures are lower allows the concrete to dry before the temperatures rise, keeping the rail in place and preventing it from expanding.

CONSTRUCTION ALERT WHAT: Crews will be working on the rail for the OC Streetcar project. Please be aware crews will begin activities as early as 7 p.m. and work through the night to the next morning.
