Last month, OCTA purchased 151 acres of open space land in Laguna Beach that will be permanently designated as a wilderness preserve. This is the seventh property acquisition under the Measure M Freeway Environmental Mitigation Program, a comprehensive plan that preserves and restores natural habitats and allows for expedited delivery of freeway projects.

OCTA, in coordination with Metrolink, continues progress in constructing a new railroad bridge over San Juan Creek in San Juan Capistrano. As part of the ongoing construction, the adjacent San Juan Creek Trail is closed till approximately August 2.
