On June 26, 2025, US Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy issued a formal letter to Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Wiggins requesting detailed information regarding the agency’s safety and security practices.

The 2025 service begins Saturday, July 19, and continues every Saturday and Sunday through Aug. 17.
