The Goods Movement Vision Study is a strategic planning effort led by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to evaluate current goods movement conditions, identify key issues and opportunities, and develop a long-term vision for more efficient, sustainable, and reliable freight movement throughout the county.

In addition to these and other public participation opportunities, citizen committees advise the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) on a wide range of polices, procedures, and actions.

OCTA approved a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with the union that represents OC Bus drivers, rewarding them for the essential work they perform to keep Orange County moving. The agreement with Teamsters Local 952 includes wage increases of 14% over the next three years, beginning in May and running through April 2027.

ORANGE –The Orange County Transportation Authority is taking another decisive step in the ongoing effort to protect and stabilize the coastal rail line through San Clemente to help ensure safe and uninterrupted rail service.

Project Details SR-55 is a vital north-south freeway that links central Orange County and beyond to the coastal region. More than 260,000 vehicles use this stretch of SR-55 every day, and that number is expected to grow to nearly 275,000 vehicles by 2040. To address this demand, OCTA and Caltrans are working together to deliver improvements to SR-55 between I-405 and I-5.

The Orange County Transportation Authority reserves the right to make final determination of eligibility for Senior Reduced Fare Identification Cards. The applications are for internal use only and will not be subject to public review.

The Youth Ride Free program allows Orange County youth ages 6 to 18 to ride all OC Bus fixed-route service for free for travel to school, work or fun. New passes and parental request forms are required and are available from participating Orange County schools.

OCTA administers a variety of Measure M funding programs for cities to widen streets, improve intersections, coordinate signals, build Smart Streets and rehabilitate pavement. OCTA also administers regional streets and roads improvement projects. In order for cities to participate in these programs, cities are required to meet specific eligibility requirements to receive the funds.
