The Orange County Transportation Authority, in coordination with Metrolink, is taking emergency action to stabilize the rail line in north San Clemente. The work is necessary to address urgent threats from slope and beach erosion and to protect the community, rail passengers and overall rail operations.

Bus Service Change Improvements – Efective May 11, 2025 The Bus Service Change Improvements provide a summary of adjustments to OC Bus. To improve service quality and reliability, changes include the extension of Route 553 from ARTIC to Disneyland Resort along Katella Ave. and Harbor Blvd., schedule adjustments to better serve summer beach trafic and minor schedule changes to reduce wait times.

Completed in 2018, the project added carpool lanes in each direction between Avenida Pico in San Clemente and San Juan Creek Road in San Juan Capistrano, significantly easing traffic congestion in those areas. It also improved freeway on-ramps and off-ramps and reconstructed the Avenida Pico interchange for better access and traffic flow.
