Long Beach Transit operates the largest gasoline-electric hybrid bus fleet in the nation, with 87 of these vehicles, and has much more experience operating and maintaining these vehicles. Staff recommends transferring ownership and the Federal Transit Administration interest in the two gasoline-electric hybrid buses to Long Beach Transit.
It is anticipated that the Agreement resulting from this solicitation, if awarded, will be a firm-fixed price contract specifying firm-fixed prices for individual tasks specified in the Scope of Work, included in this RFP as Exhibit A.
