Service remains stopped through San Clemente and no timeline set for trains to begin running again . ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority, which owns the rail line that connects San Diego County to Orange County and points further north, is working with Metrolink to clear the tracks in San Clemente and safely restore passenger and freight rail service as quickly as possible.

Metrolink has implemented cutting-edge ‘smart crossing’ technology known as a Wireless Crossing Nearside Station Stop (WCNSS) system at the Del Obispo Street crossing near the San Juan Capistrano Station.

All valid Metrolink fare media will also be accepted on these trains.

Our projects and programs improve safety and efficiency on our local roads, provide bus service and regional multimodal connections, help people find ways to leave their cars home, and provide safe, convenient transportation to those with special needs.

Metrolink service stops at the San Clemente Station on weekdays a total of 15 times (six Orange County Line trains heading to LA Union Station, five Orange County Line trains heading to Oceanside, two Inland Empire – Orange County Line trains in each direction) and on weekends with 12 total stops (four Orange County Line trains in each ...
