The updated plan brings the total project cost to $ 2.16 billion, an increase of 3.8% over the project’s most recent budget approved by the board in late 2020. The additional $80 million will be funded by Measure M, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements, bringing the total Measure M contribution to $1.4 billion.
