OC ACCESS is the Orange County Transportation Authority’s (OCTA) shared ride paratransit service. It’s available for people unable to use regular, fixed-route bus service because of functional limitations caused by a disability.
OC ACCESS is provided to people with disabilities who, because of their disability, are unable to independently ride fixed-route bus or train services all or some of the time. As a shared-ride service, riders should expect that other riders will be on the vehicle for most, if not all, of their rides.
OCTA is responsibly investing in transportation improvements that enhance how people move throughout Orange County. Senior Project Manager Jeannie Lee and the I-5 South County Improvements Project were both recognized.
Choose from paper passes or enjoy the ease of the OC Bus mobile app. OC Bus offers a variety of regular fares to meet your bus travel needs. From single rides to 30-day passes. Customers 60 years and older and persons with disabilities are offered reduced fares when riding OC Bus.
The coming year’s budget anticipates a moderate increase in sales tax receipts that help fund transit and other transportation projects through the voter-approved OC Go half-cent sales tax from transportation improvements administered by OCTA.
OC ACCESS is a shared-ride paratransit service that is available to qualified applicants whose physical or cognitive limitations prevent them from utilizing OCTA’s regular fixed route bus service.
OCTA’s August service change provides additional flexibility to OC Bus riders with nearly 300 additional bus routes, more frequent service and improved hours of operation as well as a new discounted Welcome Pass offering savings of up to 40 percent.

The 11-member Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC) monitors OCTA’s use of funds for OC Go, the half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements. OC Go is also known as Measure M.
