The 351-mile Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor (LOSSAN Corridor) travels through a six-county coastal region in Southern California and is the second busiest intercity passenger rail corridor in the United States and the busiest state-supported Amtrak route.

Since 1991 OCTA has kept residents and commuters moving throughout Orange County by bus, freeway, rail, bike, walking, and rideshare programs.

Free summer shuttles in Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente put the beach--and much more--within reach. Many shuttles connect to each other and to transit and Metrolink stops, making it easier to travel to great destinations without a car.

At the heart of OCTA’s bus system is our network of 60 bus routes. They include local and community routes, express routes, and our Stationlink service that connects Orange County Metrolink stations with major employment centers. ORANGE – Passenger rail service through San Clemente will be suspended beginning Monday, April 28, to allow for crews to safely conduct emergency construction aimed at stabilizing sections of track at immediate risk from landslides and coastal erosion.

Construction of the OC Streetcar is moving forward and is now 90 percent complete. Major work is continuing on the OC Streetcar’s Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) in Santa Ana. The OC Streetcar vehicles are being manufactured by Siemens in northern California and will be delivered to the MSF and stored there.

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), in partnership with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is improving State Route 91 from State Route 57 to State Route 55.
