Introducing New Metrolink Bicycle Cars

In response to the growing demand from cyclists for additional bicycle storage space on trains, Metrolink has introduced special bicycle cars. They’re cars specially designed to hold up to 18 bicycles on the lower level. No bike permits are needed. The bicycle cars provide a user-friendly experience for cyclists who ride their bikes to and from a Metrolink station.

Metrolink is adding 13 new bicycle cars as part of its green initiatives program to accommodate more bicycles on selected trains. The lower level of the new bicycle cars will be equipped with six stalls that hold three bicycles each. Bicycle cars are identified by a yellow “Bicycle Car” decal on the side of the train or bicycle train wrap.
