Mayor, City of Seal Beach
Director Gary Miller serves as one of the 2nd Supervisorial District representatives on the OCTA Board. Additionally, he serves on the I-405 Policy Working Group and I-405 Improvement Project Corridor Cities Coalition.
Currently, Director Miller is the Mayor of the City of Seal Beach where he has served on the City Council since April 2008. He was Mayor Pro Tem in 2011 and 2012 and Chair of the Redevelopment Agency in 2009. Director Miller continues to serve on the City Council Audit Committee, West Orange County Water Board, Los Alamitos School District – City of Seal Beach standing committee, and Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base –Elected Officials Ad Hoc Committee.
Director Miller and his wife Sharon have lived in Seal Beach since 1978. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from California State University at Long Beach. Director Miller retired from Southern California Edison Company after a 31-year career holding various administrative and management positions related to power marketing, procurement, contract negotiations, and international negotiations, including 10-years as Edison’s liaison with Mexico’s National Electric Utility.
