Most trolley services run through Labor Day, with some extending beyond. Orange County’s summer trolleys are partially funded by Measure M, the county’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
Paying for your OC Bus rides is easier with Wave, OCTA’s convenient fare payment system. Since Wave launched in October 2025, more riders have made the switch. OCTA's Balanced Budget Continues Investing in Transit
We recently approved a balanced budget of approximately $2 billion for fiscal year 2026-27, helping to keep Orange County moving while responsibly planning for the region’s transportation future.
More than half of the budget—approximately 52%—is dedicated to transit investments, including OC Bus service, Metrolink commuter rail, local rail operations, and Measure M-funded transit programs that support mobility throughout the county. The budget also provides funding to improve local streets and roads and continue investments in cleaner transportation solutions, including zero-emission vehicles that help improve air quality for our communities.
OC Bus Operator Earns International Recognition
OC Bus Coach Operator Darvy Traylor recently earned second place overall at the 2026 American Public Transportation Association (APTA) International Bus Roadeo, a competition that showcases the best bus operators from across North America. He also received the Pre-Trip Inspection Award for excellence in vehicle inspection and safety procedures.
His achievement reflects OCTA's ongoing commitment to safety, professionalism, and providing reliable service for the thousands of riders who depend on OC Bus every day.

During the holiday weekend beginning Friday, July 3, please note the following schedule changes:
OC Bus will run on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Saturday, July 4.
On Friday, July 3, Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, Metrolink will operate its weekend schedule.
