Project Overview

This project requires coordination between OCTA and Los Angeles Metro, two Caltrans Districts (7 and 12) and the cities in the project area, to study the addition of a truck climbing lane to enhance freeway operations and improve regional circulation of goods and services along this segment of northbound SR-57. This project length is approximately 2.5 miles.

Project Benefits

  • Improve traffic flow and increase throughput overall

  • Interchange and ramp improvements at Lambert Road (currently under construction)

  • Addition of a northbound truck climbing lane from Lambert Road to Tonner Canyon Road (second phase)
