At OCTA, safety has always been our highest priority. Throughout the pandemic, OCTA offered safe, reliable transportation and we continue to do so.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Safety Tips

  • Wear a face mask
  • Avoid travel if you feel sick
  • Do not touch your face
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched items and surfaces

OC Bus

OCTA operates a countywide network of local, community, rail-connector, and express bus routes. OC Bus fixed-route service includes 58 routes and nearly 5,500 bus stops. Learn about the benefits of the OC Bus Perk Pass, a discount bus pass for employers & employees.

Things to Know:

  • OCTA follows all local, state and federal safety guidelines
  • Anti-viral disinfectant is applied daily and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned more thoroughly.
  • All drivers and passengers are required to wear masks when onboard or waiting. This is a federal requirement.
  • Face masks are available onboard fixed-route buses.
  • Hand-sanitizer dispensers are provided.
  • Plexiglass shields are in place to protect drivers and passengers.

Metrolink

Metrolink is Southern California’s commuter rail service linking residential communities to employment and activity centers. Three OC Metrolink lines serve Orange County. Learn about the benefits of the Metrolink Corporate Partner Program for employers with five or more train riders.

Things to Know:

  • Metrolink follows all local, state and federal safety guidelines
  • Anti-viral disinfectant is applied daily and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned more thoroughly.
  • All drivers and passengers are required to wear masks when onboard or waiting. This is a federal requirement.
  • Metrolink weekday service has been reduced until further notice. Metrolink weekend service and Stationlink will continue to operate as scheduled.
  • Every Metrolink train car is equipped with new state-of-the-art antimicrobial air filters that treat the air going through them, destroying up to 99.98% of viruses and bacteria.
  • Mask and sanitizer dispensers are available onboard.

OC Flex

OC Flex microtransit service is available in parts of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Mission.

Things to Know:

  • OC Flex is operated by OCTA, which follows all local, state and federal safety guidelines
  • Masks are required onboard
  • All day on the day of purchase, OC Flex and OC Bus regular 1-day or 30-day Pass* are interchangeable. Use either pass on either service. Transfers to a train station are free. With a valid Metrolink or Amtrak pass, passengers ride to or from a train station within the zone for free on OC Flex.

OC Vanpool

OC Vanpool is like a super carpool for groups of four or more who commute to work in a leased vehicle.

Things to Know:

  • OC Vanpool is operated by OCTA, which follows all local, state and federal safety guidelines
  • Masks are required onboard
  • A monthly subsidy of $400 is available
  • Minimum vanpool startup occupancy has been temporarily reduced to 50% for vanpools formed from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022
  • OCTA assists companies in setting up vanpools
