Fall protection is used by the Authority's maintenance staff whenever they are working on equipment or structures at a distance of six feet or more off the ground.
This type of protection is required under both state and federal rules and regulations to ensure the safety of workers in completing their tasks and responsibilities.
With the addition of 299 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles into the Authority's fleet to be compliant with air quality requirements, a new fall protection system is needed to ensure safe and compliant working conditions are available to service the CNG tanks which are located on the roof of these vehicles.
