SR-241 to SR-71
As President Barack Obama stated during his recent visit to Orange County, OCTA and Caltrans will be moving forward with construction on the much needed and anticipated 91 Eastbound Lane Project in mid-2009.
Fueled by economic stimulus funding and set to produce as many as 2,000 new jobs, the $47.9 million project will add a new lane along a key stretch of the Riverside Freeway between SR-241 and SR-71.
When opened in 2011, commuters will benefit from a new lane, widened bridges and various operational improvements.
Additionally, the project will help protect quality of life by relieving congestion, constructing new sound walls and making various operational enhancements designed to improve the flow of commuters and goods through this strategic freeway connecting the County of Orange and Riverside.
