OCTA Honors Employees of the Year for 2010
Three employees are recognized for dedication to public transportation

ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) recently honored Coach Operator Bernard Lopez, maintenance employee Jesus Partida and administrative employee Marissa Espino as employees of the year for 2010.
Garden Grove resident, Bernard Lopez has been an OCTA coach operator since 1977 and has maintained a 33-year safe driving record.
Lopez says the best part of his job is getting to interact with the bus riders.
Jesus Partida, a service worker in the maintenance department, has worked at OCTA for 22 years.
A Costa Mesa resident, Partida says he’s a problem solver and takes pride in ensuring buses are safe and reliable.
Marissa Espino, a senior community relations specialist, conducts public outreach for high profile projects including the Orange Freeway (SR-57) construction projects and numerous planning studies.
Espino has worked at OCTA for five years and enjoys being a part of a team that communicates accurate and timely information to the public regarding on-going OCTA projects.
“These individuals are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to OCTA customers,” said OCTA Chair Patricia Bates. “They exemplify OCTA’s core values of integrity, customer focus, can-do spirit, communication and teamwork.”
