The Measure M Taxpayers Oversight Committee (TOC) is conducting its annual public hearing on Measure M, the half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements approved by voters in 1990 and renewed in 2006. Measure M is administered by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).

As part of the I-5 Gateway Freeway Improvement Project, the northbound I-5 Beach Boulevard off-ramp closed Dec. 19 for four months.
 

Detours will be clearly marked and motorists may get around the closure by exiting Auto Center Drive and traveling west to Beach Boulevard. The closure is necessary to reconstruct the off-ramp and build a retaining wall.
