Making Bus Travel Better
Starting Sunday, September 14, 2008, OCTA is making adjustments to bus routes 1, 21, 25, 29, 30, 33, 35, 37, 38, 47, 50, 53, 60, 64, 70, 71, 82, 83, 85, 87, 89, 91, 131, 172, 173, 175, 177, 188, 191, 462, 472, 473, 757 and 758 to improve your commute. You will find more information on these routes, fare information and our online trip planner at www.octa.net.

Irvine Station Parking Structure Opens
The Irvine train station welcomed commuters into the new 1,500 space parking facility on Monday, August 25. The Irvine Station is the second most heavily used station in Orange County, serving nearly 3,000 Amtrak and Metrolink passengers daily. The City of Irvine teamed up with OCTA to develop additional parking capacity. With the new parking structure, commuters will find nearly three times the parking spaces at the Irvine Station.

Learn About SR-55 Study at City Council Meetings
OCTA is working with Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and Caltrans to develop transportation alternatives to help reduce congestion on Newport Boulevard as part of the Costa Mesa Freeway (SR-55) Access Study. Community members may learn more about the study and hear the proposed alternatives at the city council study session from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Center on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
