WEST COUNTY CONNECTORS - UPCOMING CLOSURES & DETOURS
SOUTHBOUND I-605 / NORTHBOUND I-405 CONNECTOR 55-HOUR CLOSURE, MAY 18-21
The southbound I-605 / northbound I-405 connector will be closed for 55-hours, from 10 p.m. Friday, May 18 until 5 a.m. Monday, May 21.
RECOMMENDED DETOUR: From the southbound I-605 freeway, exit Willow Street and turn right, proceed west on Willow Street, turn left on Studebaker Road, continue south on Studebaker Road to access the northbound I-405 freeway on-ramp.

Northbound I-405/Westbound SR-22/7th Street Connector - NOW OPEN
OCTA and Caltrans are happy to announce that the northbound I-405 / westbound SR-22 / 7th Street connector and Old Ranch Parkway on-ramp to the westbound SR-22 is now open. The 7th Street connector and Old Ranch Parkway on-ramp were closed for the past 12 months as crews demolished and reconstructed the 7th Street bridge.

The northbound I-405/westbound SR-22 connector/7th Street Connector was closed for demolition in April 2011. Over the next 12 months the connector was reconstructed in its entirety in order to accommodate additional lanes on the I-405 freeway. Due to the location and layout of the connector the structure could not be reconstructed one half at a time like the Valley View Street and Seal Beach Boulevard bridges.

The southbound I-605 / southbound I-405 connector is scheduled to close for approximately 12 days in early 2012. This connector must be reconstructed in order to accommodate the new I-405 / I-605 carpool connector.

Eastbound SR-22/Southbound I-405 Connector Closure (MID- TO LATE-2012)
The eastbound SR-22 / southbound I-405 connector is scheduled to close for approximately 12 days in mid 2012. This connector must be reconstructed in order to accommodate the new I-405 / I-605 carpool connector.

The eastbound SR-22 / northbound I-405 connector is scheduled to close for approximately 10 months in mid 2012. This connector must be reconstructed in order to accommodate the new I-405 / I-605 carpool connector.

Alternate Routes for Valley View Street and Seal Beach Blvd. Bridges
Although the Valley View Street and Seal Beach Blvd. bridges will always remain open during the day, there will be delays due to lane restrictions. The traveling public is encouraged to seek alternate routes to ease their commute and avoid delays. There also will be intermittent night work requiring full closures for activities such as demolition and falsework placement.
