Description :
Build a new northbound lane between Orangewood Avenue and Lambert Road. Other projects include improvements to the Lambert interchange and the addition of a northbound truck climbing lane between Lambert and Tonner Canyon Road. The improvements will be designed and coordinated speciically to reduce congestion at SR-57/SR-91 interchange. These improvements will be made generally within existing right-of- way. Speciic improvements will be subject to approved plans developed in cooperation with local jurisdictions and affected communities.
The project will increase freeway capacity and reduc congestion. The daily trafic volume on this freeway is about 315,000 vehicles. By 2030, this volume will increase by 15 percent, bringing it up to 363,000 vehicles per day. In addition to the project described above, regional plans include new carpool ramps at Cerritos Avenue using federal and state funds.

The estimated cost to implement SR-57 improvements is $258.7 million.
